I use 1 part feverfew to 1 part peppermint, to ½ part lavender in a tea/decoction.

Someone suggested using chamomile and I think that might be an interesting addition.

As far as effectiveness, it works best if taken when you first start to notice the "aura" of the migraine coming on. It works well for me but if the headache is in full bloom it seems to not be long lasting, i.e., in a couple of hours I may need to take another cup.

It doesn't leave you with that groggy dulled head the medications I have tried do either.
