Quince Seeds 4.00 | 350 grains
Distilled Water 100.00 | 20 fl. ounces

Macerate the seeds in the distilled water for three hours, with occasional stirring, and strain without expression. This mucilage forms a useful suspending agent for such liquids as tincture of benzoin when added to toilet preparations. When used for this purpose, it is sometimes prepared with rose water.
