Logwood, in No. 20 powder 100.00 | 20 ounces
Alcohol 15.00 | 3 fl. ounces
Distilled Water ... to 100.00 | to 20 fl. ounces

Boil the logwood With 200 (40 fluid ounces) of the water for half an hour, and strain. Repeat the process twice, and, having mixed the strained liquids, evaporate until the product measures 85 (17 fluid ounces). Add the alcohol, set aside for seven days, decant the clear liquor, and add sufficient distilled water to produce 100 (20 fluid ounces).
Dose.—2 to 8 mils (1 to 2 fluid drachms).
