486. MONARDA.—HORSEMINT. The herb of Monar'da puncta'ta Linné. Carminative, emmenagogue, and nervine. Dose: 15 to 60 gr. (1 to 4 Gm.).

486a. OLEUM MONARDAE.—OIL OF HORSEMINT. Used as an embrocation and as an addition to stimulating liniments.

487. MONARDA FISTULOSA Linné.—WILD BERGAMOT. Indigenous. (Leaves.) Introduced as a substitute for quinine; in large doses diaphoretic. Dose: 15 to 60 gr. (1 to 4 Gm.).
