>I've still got several to try - licorice, Greek, and piccolo, and I've got seeds for a yellow-green curly leaf variety that I will sow when I return from a trip. Do any of you have better ideas for comparison-tasting?
Dee this was giving to me by a lady who runs a Herb Farm. I haven't got around to trying it so I can't tell you how good it works. If you try it let us know what you think.
An easy method for savoring different herb flavors is to experiment by placing a half teaspoonful of cream cheese on several saucers. Mix a different herb (only a pinch) into each teaspoonful of the cream cheese, labeling each.
You'll thus have a much better idea which herbs you want to try in certain foods.
Canned soups provide another good way to experiment with herb flavors.
