Preparation.—"Chrysarobin, five grammes (5 Gm.) [77 grs.]; benzoinated lard, ninety-five grammes (95 Gm.) [3 ozs. av., 154 grs.]; to make one hundred grammes (100 Gm.) [3 ozs. av., 231 grs.]. Rub the chrysarobin with the benzoinated lard, gradually added, until they are thoroughly mixed"—(U. S. P.). This ointment should be perfectly smooth, and of a yellow color. It will stain garments.
